At McKinney Roof Repairs, our story starts right here in North Texas. We’re not a national chain or a storm-chasing crew that rolls in after a hailstorm and disappears. We’re your neighbors, your kids’ fellow classmates’ parents, and the people you’ll see at the grocery store the week after we’ve been on your roof.
This page is your chance to get to know the people behind the name—who we are, what we do, and why we care so much about doing roofing the right way in McKinney and the surrounding area.
McKinney Roof Repairs started as a small, family-run outfit back in 2008, when I, Mark Ellison, decided I’d had enough of the “big chain” way of doing roofing.
I’d been on roofs across North Texas since the early ’90s. After one too many hail seasons where out-of-town storm chasers flooded neighborhoods, made big promises, then left homeowners hanging, I knew there had to be a better way.
The idea was simple:
Today, that’s still our approach on every job—whether we’re repairing a small leak or replacing a flat roof on a busy commercial building.
Our vision is straightforward:
Roofs in McKinney should last as long as they’re supposed to, and homeowners and business owners should never feel pressured, confused, or rushed into a decision.
To make that happen, we focus on:
We study North Texas weather patterns, local building codes, and neighborhood HOA requirements so we can match materials and methods to real conditions here—not some one-size-fits-all national template. If we’re working on your home off El Dorado, Virginia Parkway, Stacy Road, or anywhere in between, we’re going to repair or replace that roof like we’re going to drive past it every day.
As a team, we cover the full range of roofing and related services, including:
Different members of our team specialize in different areas, but we all share the same goal: give you straight answers, durable work, and a roof you don’t have to worry about every time the weather turns.
I’m Mark, the owner and founder of McKinney Roof Repairs, and I still handle inspections and project oversight myself.
I live off Hardin Boulevard and have over 30 years of hands-on roofing experience in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. If you schedule an inspection for a roof leak, storm damage, or a full replacement, there’s a good chance I’ll be the one on your roof.
When I inspect a roof, I’m not there to “sell” you something. I’m there to answer a few key questions:
I walk every client through photos, notes, and options in simple terms. No scare tactics, no rushed decisions—just clear information so you can choose what’s right for you, your budget, and your property.
Jason is my right hand in the field and the person who keeps our projects running smoothly from start to finish.
Born and raised in McKinney near Wilson Creek, Jason knows the neighborhoods, the weather, and the way local houses are built. He coordinates:
When Jason is involved in your job, you can expect:
He’s the one making sure your roof repair, replacement, or flat roof project doesn’t just get done—but gets done the right way.
Emily is our go-to person for homeowners. Originally from Plano and now living in Stonebridge Ranch, she understands both older homes and newer builds in the McKinney area.
If you’re a homeowner reaching out for the first time, Emily is usually the person you’ll talk to about:
Emily is especially good at taking something complicated—like an insurance report or an engineer’s note—and putting it into plain language. She’ll help you understand:
Her job is to make the process clear and stress-free, from that first phone call all the way through final cleanup and follow-up.
Dan heads up our commercial and flat roofing work. From Allen and familiar with commercial properties across Collin County, he focuses on:
Commercial and flat roofs are a different world compared to residential roofing. Dan specializes in:
He works closely with property managers, owners, and tenants to plan projects around business hours and keep operations running while we’re on site. His priority is protecting your building, your tenants, and your bottom line.
When it’s time to actually get the work done on your roof, our Service & Repair Crew Chiefs step in. These are the guys up on the roof making sure repairs are done correctly and safely, every single time.
Ryan is from Frisco and has been installing and repairing roofs in North Texas for years. He’s particularly skilled at:
If Ryan is on your project, you’ll see someone who takes pride in doing the job right—even if it takes a little longer to get every detail handled properly.
Luke, from Melissa, is another long-time installer who knows his way around both residential and light commercial roofs.
He focuses on:
Luke is the guy who treats every roof like it belongs to a family member. If something doesn’t look right to him, he fixes it before we ever call the job complete.
Behind every smooth project is an organized office, and that’s where Sarah and Lauren come in.
Sarah lives in McKinney and is often the first voice you’ll hear when you call.
She handles:
Sarah keeps our calendar tight so we can respond quickly—especially when you’re calling about a leak or emergency situation.
Lauren, from Fairview, focuses on making sure every job is fully documented and followed through.
She’s responsible for:
If you ever think, “They really kept me in the loop,” Lauren is a big part of why.
We’re proud that most of our team lives right here in and around McKinney. We:
That local connection is more than a talking point—it’s accountability. When we repair or replace a roof, we know we’re going to see that house or business again. We might drive past it on El Dorado, Virginia Parkway, Stacy Road, or during a weekend errand. That’s a constant reminder to always do work we’re proud of.
As a team, we make these promises on every job:
Whether you call us for roof repair, roof replacement, roof leak repair, emergency roof work, tile roof repair, gutter installation, or a routine roof inspection and maintenance visit, you’ll deal with real people who listen and respond.
Now that you know a bit more about who we are, we’d be happy to get to know you and your property.
From the first phone call with Sarah or Lauren, to the inspection with Mark, to the project management from Jason, Emily, or Dan, and the hands-on work from Ryan, Luke, and the rest of our crew—you’re in the hands of a local, committed team.
At McKinney Roof Repairs, we don’t just fix roofs. We take care of the people under them.
